Hello M5 board! I figured now is a good time to introduce myself since I have pictures of my car to post. My names is Kevin and I live in Northern California. On May 15th I picked up a beautiful 2003 Sterling Gray M5 with 61,000 miles on it. I talked to dealer for a week before heading down to pick it up. There was a few scares of it being sold but luckily that didn't happen. As soon as I got there I fell in love. It was a prime example of what an M5 should look like. After walking around it I noticed it had a Supersprint Magnum exhaust as well. SCORE! Took it for a test drive and then bought it. I had to step out on a limb because there wasn't any service records but normally when a cars interior and exterior are maintained this well the mechanicals are too. Plus the carfax showed is was dealer maintained on schedule so I was confident enough it was a safe buy.

After a few days of wonderful driving I took it to North Bay Bavarian in Santa Rosa to get it looked over. They confirmed that the car was overall in fantastic shape. They also had a few surprises for me too. In addition to the Supersprint Magnum exhaust it also had their cats and headers! As well as lightweight pullies installed. I was stoked on life when I heard that. Haha. I was planning on those mods anyways so paying a premium for the car was well worth it. While the car was there I had them take care of anything that needed fixing and now it's in tip top running shape.

I've put 1,000 miles on it so far and there's no looking back. This car is a keeper for sure. All it needs now is intakes, an x pipe and tune. Suggestions?

Now for the pictures

I've already found so much information on the forum and can't wait to see what the future holds in store!

Congrats on the purchase. I'm in Rohnert Park, we should get together and do a photoshoot of the two cars sometime soon.

If you have SS headers, cats, and cans I find it hard to believe there is no SS x-pipe too. You may even have a tune also as most know a tune it needed to optimize the headers.

I'm totally down for that. My GF lives in Santa Rosa so I'm in the area all the time.

There's no x pipe for sure. I thought that was weird too. It's actually pretty quiet for the exhaust mods it has. Maybe thats what they wanted. Me not so much . As for the tune it very well could have one. Is there a way to check?
