Check side light warning

Well, it's been awhile since I've had an issue with Greta. I am getting the "Check Side Lights" warning only when I drive into my garage during the day and the light sensor kicks the headlights on (The light switch is in "Auto" mode). I check the halos (common issue, yes I searched), no problem there and all of the other lights are functioning properly.

Is it common for the ambient light sensor to go bad? Any other ideas? Thanks for any help that is offered.

Did you check both with the turn signals on and off? If I remember right, those bulbs have two filaments. It could be the parking light filament is fine but the turn signal is out.

The turn signal is fine. Checked with 4-ways. I may have found the problem. I have my AE as DRL's and one parking light was lit and the other wasn't. I jiggled the wires on the side where the parking light was lit and it went out along with the warning. Oh joy. Electrical issue in DRL wiring.

Don't mean to bump an old thread, but did you ever get this issue resolved?

I can make them (AE's) go off and on by shaking the wiring. I'm going to try and isolate the offending connector and fix that. Just haven't had time to do it yet.
