Strange Clutch issue

I have just noticed a new issue in my car. When I press the clutch everything is fine, but as soon as I let go of the clutch I feel a slight sticking feeling like it’s getting stuck somewhere on release (but it does release all the way, it never gets fully stuck) . I would say it does it every 1 out of 5 engagements.

Current miles on the car is 107k, clutch was replaced at 65k. using OEM clutch and FW.

Any suggestion on what the issue might be?

Thanks

how long has it been doing this?

First guesses are the mechanics of the pedal itself, master cylinder mounting, or clevis attachment to the pedal.

+1

My clutch does the same thing, it randomly seems to stick on the way up a few times/day. The only "pattern" I've noticed is that it seems to happen more during the first 5-10minutes of driving but not so much after everything is warmed up. My clutch is original w/36k on it and does need replacing as I can make it slip if I "want to" but can very easily drive without slippage.

It has been doing it for about 2 weeks now. I did check the mechanics of the clutch and i could not find anything. If i keep engaging the clutch in the driveway i can hear a noise from the clutch like something is springing out. My first initial thought process was "its the throwout barring".

The clutch is not slipping as of right now.

Mine was doing that for a time this winter, but hasn't in a long while. My clutch has since started to slip very badly. New clutch is going in soon.

I am not sure if it has been bled since replacing the clutch. I have ordered some new fluid and try that first before moving foreword with replacing stuff.

Same issue

Hi,
I am havingt he same issue. It popped up a couple weeks back. I recently recently had my fluid replace before an HPDE at Autoclub Speedway. I was thinking it was the slave cylinder but have not had a chance to get it into the shop.

Will keep you posted,

Let me know what you find out. I will change my fluid in the next couple of days in hopes of fixing the issue.
