It is lifetime of the car, regardless of owner, so yes it is transferable. They will tow you to the nearest BMW dealer, no matter where you are. This doesn't cut into BMW's bottom line too much b/c 1) the dealer will charge you an arm and a leg and 2) there aren't that many ///M cars in remote parts of the country. It's a good marketing tool.

Sounds good - I'm thinking this one might be a stretch for us Australians though :-)

Cheers,
Adam.

I've got the same thing and have the optional jack that comes with it. Everything fits right within the tire while in the trunk. I keep it in place with a bungee cord like one of the others said in this thread.

Ha! I've got one of those and didn't know about the RAP either. Thanks!

Wow. The things you can learn on the Internet!

All the BMWs now sold. Now back in a Porsche. There is no substitute.

Put some 9.5" rims up front, run the square setup & carry one more for a spare. No worries about ever having a not-quite-fitting tire if you lose pressure in a rear tire.

Thats an amazing idea, but you loose a lot of trunk space… how much did that cost you ?

Geez, maybe $600\$700? It's been a while since I bought them and I don't have my maintenance spreadsheet here at work.

But as a bonus to making carrying a spare easier, you also get all that decreased over-steer along with it.
