New beast, still cannot believe it!

Now I know why it takes so long to post after you get her. I have fallen to the classic need to drive it, decompress, and figure out how to host pictures

Well, I don't have the pictures thing down yet, but I will post when I do. I picked her up on the 3rd of July, got the call on the way home from work just in time for the holiday

I have lots to write about, for now I will just say that it is truely awesome. Part of my "deal" to get this was selling my 2001 gsx-r1000. I was really hoping that the car would give me something even resembling the performance, and I can now say that she is definitely there. I will miss the bike only slightly :p

She came with the dunlops, 3.5 miles on the od, the sticker for 5-30 synthetic oil, and at 800 miles is spot on with the oil level measuring the BMW method. The dealer did not prep her, I had a local detailer take care of that. They did put on the front license plate contrary to my request but in all fairness I pushed them for a quick prep and delivery that night, and forgot to remind them of this.

Lemans Blue is very cool, I love the LB interior. The brushed aluminum is quite nice, much different than I had imagined. I will start picking apart by adding to specific threads. Suffice it to say, I have been on (virtual) vacation ever since!!!

Thanks for all the help.. there were some last minute issues that some board members were able to help me with, and for that I cannot say enough. A really terrific crew

Hey CONGRATS!!! Ya.. I bet... cant get away from the wheel huh? Get those pics up...

This is the way I do it...

1.) Find the pic u like... then upload it somewhere to host the pic.. either your server a server on the web... currently I believe hobbystage or imagestation allows u to link pictures. Webshots use to but now they dont... yahoo isnt a good site to choose cuz they use dynamic addresses so each time its a different address so you might see it one day and poof its gone the next. so hobbystage or imagestation works now.

2.) then find the pic u want to post, make sure u are signed off your account and not viewing the pic while u are logged on cuz sometimes u can see it but then others (we) are not allowed to to see the pic because we are not "you". so find the pic as if u were any other person surfing the net and right click it and select properties and highlight and copy its URL / link...

3.) Come here and when u are replying... add the image tags... either manually or with the IMG tag button on the top... it should look like [IMG ]http://www.theserver.com/filename.jpg[ /IMG] with out the spaces... i just included the spaces to show how its suppose to look. and thats it...

Hope fully I didnt make it too complicated... its not, trust me... i just went into too much detail heheh

and heres Gustav's explation.

Congratulations and welcome! And, BTW Lemans blue exterior with Lemans blue interior and brushed aluminum really is superior to all other color and trim combinations.

That my friend is a subjective opinion. But of course we're biased.

Ahhh yes, I remember the days that I felt that way about my own M5 ...

Wait -- that was just this morning, on my drive to work.

Welcome to the board Mike. I look forward to your pictures. I don't think that the Hobbystage image links work anymore (although you can put a regular URL link into your message, the reader has to veiw the pictures in a new window). The Imagestation image links are working, though.

I can't wait to see your pics of the interior. I "lost" my balls on that one. I originally ordered it just the way you did but I got scared and changed to just black inside. I think I made a mistake!

Congrats...!!
