Another Fake M5 on e:bay

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=1846569011

Trying to pass off a 528 as an M5. It appears this guy even bought the round mirrors. However I notice he doesn't show the back end or the engine bay.

What I don't like about this one, is it doesn't state very clearly that it is not an M5

You didn't even mention the outrageous price this guy is asking! It's a 2000 model with 30K miles for Christ sake! The original sticker probably includes TT&L AND I doubt he paid sticker for a 528.

I hope this guy ends up having to settle for about 25K which is more than I would pay for it. Of course, I would never even consider purchasing a mislabeled car! The 528 Sport is a nice car in it's own right. There's no reason for him to ruin it and blasphemy the M5 with all this crap!

I have always said that with all the extra money spent on mods, these guys could have bought the next grade of car . . . like the 540. I would MUCH rather have a REAL 540 than a FAKE M5.

There is just no limit to stupidity. Kevin

Look again...it says that it has the "M5 body/wheels." I'd say that tells me that it's obviously not a real M5.

I still say, it's misleading

There was one on there a few weeks ago on e:bay,

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=1842953809

where the guy states it's a 540 with M5 body trim, and shows the engine compartment. I e:mailed him to ask about his "M5" to see if he would correct me. He did - he said it was a 540 and he like the looks of the M5 but he also wanted to have an automatic. But this guy, lists his car as an M5, and only mentions 528 once. You can select your category and model and state what it is quite clearly in the headings when you list the car - he chose not to - in fact, he mentions "M5" twice and "certified" but not 528. An oversight???

I guess, no one who really was looking to buy an M5 would be fooled, what with the mention of tiptronic and Vavona wood.

The most important point is, I just don't get it. And I feel sad a person would work so hard to make their car look like something it isn't. It just seems so fake and superficial to me. Holden Caulfield over and out.....

MoFo

PS what is ROTFLMFAO besides a new one on me.

ROTFLMFAO = Rolling On The Floor Laughing My Freaking *** Off.

Some people also add "PIMP" which means "Peeing In My Pants"

So true that the guy could have gotton a 540 for all the wannabe boltons. Done at JMK huh? Another strike against that car.

Not to get in the mix too deep but I think the title of the auction clarifies things and he does go on to mention "M5 Mods"...Just my thoughts
