Euro Road Trip in the making, so excited!!!

Evening folks.

So excited I had to share! I've finally got the money and the 'get up and go' to plan my Euro Road Trip.

It was initially going to be much longer (4600 miles) but my insurance for this year is limited to 5000 so it seems silly to use them all up in about 10 days! It's now about 3300 miles.

I will also be doing it solo as I have recently split from my girl of 10 years At least I won't be stopping every 3.2 miles for a ciggie break...

Saturday 7th July, head out from home and get the Folkestone-Calais Eurostar. Through France, Belgium, Netherlands and Germany to catch the Puttgarten-Rodby Faerge ferry. Up through Denmark into Sweden where I shall put my feet up for the night somewhere as yet undecided.

In the morning carry on up though Sweden to catch the Kapellskar-Mariehamn ferry, followed by the Mariehamn-Turku ferry (4.5hrs!)

Upon waking, exit the ferry and take the short drive to Evolve HQ Finland. AKA Raikku's(vantaam5) place. Here my girl will get a good going over for the next few days and nights and hopefully we will meet up with a few other of the Finnish board members. BBQ and alcohol I can feel it already! Raikku is an absolute top guy, he is also putting me up for the week to reduce my outgoings, a real champ!

So after a final jolly up to thank Raikku for his hard work and accomodation, I'll be waving goodbye to start the long haul back to the Netherlands to meet up with Tiago in Rotterdam. Hopefully can meet some more guys there too. There may be a beverage or two consumed while talking beasts and food here as well...

From here I will be heading to the infamously beautiful Spa Francorchamps for a trackday. Simply cannot wait for this. It has been my dream for a very long time to go to this track and I'm finally going to do it in my dream car.

Next on the agenda? You guessed it, 'the Green Hell'. I hope I don't get too addicted, this is my only worry. I realise this is going back on myself btw, but it's how it works out with the dates available at the time. The Ring is not to be missed and I shall not miss it!

Then it's the last slow jaunt home, unless of course I come accross an Autobahn.. Although saying that, my Toyo R1R's are only W speed rating so no top speed runs for me

There will be many, many photo's taken, as well as video's and maybe a time lapse of the journey using my GoPro.

Well there you have it, I just had to share it with you peeps, too excited to hold it in!!

BTW if anyone wants to join me/meet me for/on any part of the journey you are more than welcome.

Roll on July......
