Lee! You getting some Scandinavian poon tang my man?! Go get it son! Hehe.

I loved the Autobahns when I was in Germany in the M5. I've driven lots of cars, old and new, at UK motorway speeds, and they're all pretty good. However, once you get over about 120mph suddenly the M5, despite its age, makes it very obvious what it was designed to do. It just sails along at 164mph (where my limiter cuts in) in a strangely quiet, comfortable manner. I tried 140mph in a diesel Vectra a few years ago and while it was entirely capable of doing it, the chassis just felt unsettled and like it was stretched at that speed, where the M5 just sort of shrugs and says "is that all you got?".

Oooooh yes! Not sure I'd call her that! She comes over next Saturday

As I said with the M, it's so comfortable at those speeds it's almost scary...

I'm excited already, and it's not even me that's getting a visit! Pics or it didn't happen! Your plans will certainly beat my weekend - I shall be tidying little bits of paintwork on the M5, a few new bulbs going in to replace yellowing ones, new fogs...and spending a day with a lass who I have no doubt would beat me in a fight I'm clearly having less luck at this being single lark than you!

Hey guys, just got around to editing/cutting the vids from Spa and have uploaded the first one, just gotta do the other two. This one has the mic shut in the panel gap of the boot/trunk to get axhaust noise. Worked really well. Finally found a good postion to put the gopro to get me in the vid plus a good view of the track.

+ YouTube Video
