Cool so August is the winner so far.. I'll keep that in mind when i speak to her next. Those wheels and tyres (ebony?) should work a treat Simon.

Remember chaps there is no minimum/maximum amount of persons this way round so as long as we get a date sorted we're good to go, just book up and we'll all meet there, I see no point in me bulk buying to sell them, sounds like more hassle to me....

22nd June is a no no for me,youngest ones birthday, won't go down well if i'm away all day
Friday the 13th are you kidding !!
I'm on holiday last 2 weeks in August

I can make the 2nd September

We can still do a ' Run what ya brung ' held on Sundays beforehand, give you a bit of practice Lee for launching without too much wheel spin not been to the Pod for years, main problem is it gets busy and you have to do a lot of queuing to get a run. Any rain and they close the strip so you don't want to go on a day when theirs even a slight possibility of rain.

Simon.

Lol well I have no sympathies if you can't make it for holiday's sake!

We won't need the practice mate, there will be hardly any queues with max 100 cars there. That's why it's abit more expensive.

She has said if it is light rain they wait for a bit to see if it eases off, if so they get a huge jet fuelled drier on there to dry the track!

Only thing is to go on these days it's recommended you book up early. RWYB days suck now apparantly, on a busy one prob get 3-4 runs max....

For clarification:

"Ebony is a dense black wood, most commonly yielded by several species in the genus Diospyros, but ebony may also refer to other heavy, black (or dark colored) woods from unrelated species. Ebony is dense enough to sink in water."

The tyres on my 17" wheels are, um, not very good...

Well I'm booking up for this probably next week for the August day and probably the June day, not sure yet. I'll let you guys know when I do. We may as well just book individually and meet up when we are there/on route for some of us. I now have 8, yes 8(!) pairs of tyres to burn up!!
M5Board members special discount
If there's a few of us going and I need to take the tyres, I would appreciate someone offering to take a few

Eight!? wow, put me down for a pair! I'll have to judge which date to book as I can't make both, I'll keep an eye on this thread and see which one everyone goes for. Either way, see you guys there! Coming from the north if anyone wants to convoy.
