I hope this inspires you all to run outside and fix your seats in the next 15 min, after having them broken for a year or so.

Mechanics will cringe when they see this video.

Good to see a video spreading the diy seats cable fix. Had to do this for both seats on my E34 ///M and I guess bmw still hasn't improved the mechanical design to prevent twisting. I wonder if the f10 m5 has the same mechanical design flaw.

Anyways Terabass love your helpful videos. Especially this one with the 'sunlight shining on the ///M5 doorsill' shot at the end. Very cool.

Thanks for contributing this, I know many have asked for a vid in the DIY thread. My seats haven't had any issues after the last fix and there was no way I had time or energy to make a vid on something that didn't need fixing. Cheers to you!

Brilliant, took me all of 7 minutes and it's fixed!!!! The down side is the up and down side failed as soon as I finished the tilt!! Now I need to find the motor/cable for that!

Awesome works like a champ. I used needle nose pliers to hold the housing as I cut it with a box cutter. Seemed to help.
