Wow Mike, you are going to have fun. It is a little nerve racking when you get up there as everybody stares at the M5 and laughs until you pull sub 14 times. You will be amazed at the descrepency(sp) of cars there. Some real junk boxes and some unbeleivable hooked up cars. Make sure you bring a helmet as any car that breaks 14s requires it. I beleive tfung ran a 13.3 or 13.5? He had problem hooking up in first and beginning of second. Please let us know how you do.

Thanks, I might be going up with my friend who has a 600 hp 1989 911 turbo slannose. That car can roast almost anything on the road, one thing comes to mind when I was in that car, that is uncontrolable.

Good luck! Watch your launch, and pedal to the metal!
You can definitely run low 13's with a good launch! I ran 13.4 with more to go!
I'm going to get another Englishtown meet together again in September if you Boston guys want to come down

If you see a black Dodge Ram 1500 Diesel, RUN AWAY! That thing ran 13 flat when we were up there.

Have fun!

ok, ok-a little OT.

HOW ON EARTH DO YOU GUYS RUN LOW 13S???
I've been to the strip twice recently with a total of 10 runs-I was JUST able to break into the 13s with a 13.998 (thats my fastest so far). How do you manage low 13s? What are your tire pressures? What do you launch/shift at? Thanks

Parker

The simple fact of the matter is that the launch is the difference between running low 13's and high 13's.I shift when the fuel cut off cuts in at first and second.Third takes me to 6900 rpm and fourth is necessary. Also Air temperature and humidity have alot to do with it!track temps are another culpret and finally tire pressure. That's alot of factors to get it rite! All in all if you get the launch rite and you bang every gear rite, you should be high 12's very low 13's with an M5 with intakes and exhaust work
Keep trying and may the fortune gods smile on you

the best way that i have found for dragracing is to launch at 1750 rpm's with the tire's at 32 psi.do a dry hop and avoid the water box go around it don't floor it off the line give it about half and as soon as it hook's up floor it shift point's should be at 6500 rpm's this is what i do my best so far in phoenix,az is 12.79 @110 mph
95 degress

good luck

remember the first 60 ' makes or brake's your 12 second pass
