Post Video display acting erratic

I have just notice that the video display on my 2000 m5 is acting erratic. When the car is turned off with the radio on and the car is restarted the radio will come back on after a few seconds But the video display will then show the screen with the Set,Code,DSP,GPS Navigation ,Emergency etc. (I wont have the screen with the radio station or the other computer information). To get to the radio display screen I have to push the button next to the on off switch. I dont remember this before. It seems annoying to have to push a button to get the radio display.I would be very appreciative If someone could check their video display and let me know what their display shows after starting their car.(and having had their radio on prior to turning thr car off).

I usually leave my display in "Code" position and when I get back to my M5'2K - display shows radio station and computer settings (which I find good - only I know - why car doesn't start).

Though I had several instances, where instead of radio station freq. there is only underline. However it would show "Tape A/B" or "CD #". It fixes itself after a long parking, but not if I just take keys off and on.

Hope it brought you a releaf.
