I might be intersted in one but I think I need to see both finished products installed. I'm wondering how "obvious" the CF will be on a black vehicle since the lip is so understated.

The design of the lip itself is subtle. On a black car, being CF, it will certainly be subtle as well.

Oh, no, I definitely agree. I was just wondering if for me it's worth spending the extra money on the CF if you can't really tell it's CF (without bending over and looking at it).

My recommendation is, it's too subtle of a lip to begin with. In most pictures, and from normal eye-level, CF/Poly will look identical, IMO.

When I use to have CF splitters, on my carbon black:

That's exactly what I was thinking/assuming. I'm still holding out for finished installed pictures before I make my mind up. But you confirmed what I was thinking.

See, now those splitters are plenty large enough to clearly distinguish them as CF.

Exactly. This won't be the case with the SLIMM front lip.

In a sea of "not so subtle" body mods, thank god for Slimm and his sense of subtlety!

My opinion (and it's just an opinion) is that M5s are about subtlety. These cars are power and grace in an aggressive but subtle looking package. I think mods should look as though BMW themselves came out with some extra limited version of the M5 and I just can't see them using exposed CF on such an imaginary car.

Again, just my opinion.
