Angry Engine Service Soon Light

The Light from Hell went on and the dealer diagnosed a loose gas cap. It was replaced. Light stayed off for 1 week, came back on. I brought it in for an OBD-II diagnosis........unclear..but thinks it is "probably" a fuel line vent issue.

Ordered up a new part today and I'll let you know what the outcome will be on July 30th.

Anyone been down this road??

Don't worry about this one, lots of people had the faulty fuel pressure pump. There is a pump which pressurizes the fuel tank in order to determine if there is a leak, that's why it throws a fault when the cap is loose. They are notorious for failure.

The first time the problem was diagnosed they suspected it was a loose gas cap so they just reset it and told me to make sure it clicked 3 times.

It might be the mass air flow meters. My fault code came back as a catalytic converter problem but there was a service bulletin out to change all the MAFs first then see if the problem persisted. 2 weeks later, still no more SES.

I had the exact same situation, since replacing the part last week I've had no more problems.
