Need recommendation: good Boston area dealer?

Friend of a friend wants to lease a 535 in the Boston area. She lives in Westford. Any recommendations for (or against) specific dealers in the Boston area?

If she can swing a drive out west, check out Wagner BMW in West Springfield (2 minutes off exit 4 on the Pike). It would be about a hours drive, but Tim Lawrence is a great guy to talk to. You are more than welcome to drop my name if you'd like.

I've also had great experiences with Foreign Motors West in Natick, MA. However, I think you'll find a better deal out west @ Wagner.

Whatever you do, AVOID HERB CHAMBERS LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!!!

Foreign Motors West

I bought my beast from FMW. My sales guy is Peter Rooney. Great guy, knows everything about the car. They always treat
you well there.

Good luck.

Wow, I live about 5 minutes away from Westford, small world . Anyway, as far as dealers go around here. I have heard good things about BMW Gallery in Norwood, Wagner in Boylston, BMW of Peabody, and Dreihr Hollaway(sp) BMW up in Exeter, NH. The closet one to her will be Tulley but I suggest leasing from one of the forementioned dealers. 535?, I am very confused .

That's what I get for thinking of 525 when I'm trying to type 530.

Right now I am very impressed with BMW Gallery in Norwood. Fast service and appointments within two days. I recently posted a thread praising them but it got moved.

I tend to avoid a few of the dealer that have been getting bad reputations around this board for uncaring staff, lots of hassles, poor service, long wait times, BS, price gouging, and rudeness.

Perhaps were should band together and list why we like our local dealer.

I live in Westford as well. I bought my current car at BMW of Peabody and my previous one ('96 328i) at Tulley's in Nashua. In my mind, the service provided after buying/leasing a car is more important than the sales experience, although I was happy at with this at both dealers. I switched to Peabody because my service manager (Kay Reichards) moved there from Tulley. She has been great to work with and goes out of her way to make sure I'm happy with whatever service I need done to the car. Both dealers provide loaner cars for service.

I've also visited Herb Chambers in Boston and Foreign Motors West in Natick. Neither one gave me a good sense of appreciating me as a customer and acted snobby (I guess I should have dressed better...).
