Evolve Cold Start Tune - 1st Cold Start Video

Hey! You! Get into my car. . . .

Wanted to share - like most everyone running a maf-less tune, my Cold Start was REALLY loud and only exacerbated by the muffler delete (Timmay!)

This is truly a COLD START - in fact. . .I had to jump my car to start it it's sat for a few days (have a parasitic drain from a seat motor I just "fixed"). FYI it's about 55 degrees F. . .(-edit- lets try 61 degrees as the video states). . . .

Evolve's Cold Start tune is, in my opinion, exponentially quieter (maybe not technically exponential). . .have a listen. . .sorry about the shaky video.

https://picasaweb.google.com/1053725...eat=directlink

while you are at it. . .tell me about my Vanos noise

I'll add this. . .I believe that the cold start idle is much more stable on this version of the Evolve tune than the other (not that it was bad to begin with). . .NO hunt, NO pulsing. . .seems to just hit it right!

Sounds pretty tame to me which is good. Did you previously have the Powerchip "mafless" tune?

Very nice!

I have that tippy-toeing issue -

I dont have a tune but with Maf-delete I have to tip toe out of my neighborhood in the morning.

Good to know Evolve Tune is working out, as we all know it would.

Nice.
Do you have to let it run any longer to warm up?
That's gonna be good when I finish my exhaust
In your video all your warm up lights all light up at 61 degrees. My first 2 warm up lights work only sometimes I think. It stopped lighting up and then I saw them light up 2 weeks ago and then not anymore again. WEIRD. Only the first 2 lights not behaving..
Will prob make a new thread or maybe even search if anyone's had the same thing happen to them..

Enjoy your newfound quiet-ness!

Gotta love it. Spend money on a louder exhaust then spend more money on a tune that quiets it down a little bit.
