has anyone faced this problem with their e39 m5? changed the OEM tail lights and the license plate lights to LED bought off Ebay. installation was easy and connection was easy too. but noticed that that led lights for both the tail light and the license plates keep flickering every ten seconds. searched around and found out that installing load resistors will solve the flashing flickering lights. However, it did not change anything.
the reason for those to flash every ten seconds or so is because the system is checking for any burned bulbs and since the led draw little amps, it keeps flickering. however, when turning the switch lights on, everything seems fine and no flashing. so i am driving the car day and night with lights on as it is really embarrassing to drive at day light and the beast acts up as it looks cheesy :0
anyone had this problem and solved it or reached to a conclusion? it has something to do with the LCM i guess. any techies out there tried to bypass that checking ecu thing?
cheers
