Today I swapped in some lower milage OEM cats. The previous owner didn't replace the thermostat as it needed and ran it under temp. Was getting bank 2 inefficincy messages in the computer. hopefully the guy was honest with me as I didn't see the car they came from.
First oil change yesterday. Forgot the copper washer on the fill plug (remembered before i re-filled it). Loved the oil filter access and the ability to inspect the filter media.
Decided at the last moment to sell off my 10w60 stash and just start using M1 15w50 and similar oils.

I see OT potential here
You are TRYING to start a long heated discussion right?
Finally got around to adjusting the ride height on the PSS9s. Front now 13 7/8s and rear 13 5/8s. I moved the adusters from 60mm thread exposed, bottom of the lock washer to bottom of thread, to 63.5mm in the front and 72.5mm. Valving now set on 4 from 6. Pics coming.
The ride at 4 is noticeably firmer than 6. It now has a bit of edge to it over the bumps that was not evident before. I think 6 is the better street setup but 4 is a nicer handling setting. Can't wait to try 1 on the track.
Also on the list, a coolant flush and fill, bled the brakes (nice and firm now), and 265s on rears with 12mm spacer replacing the stock 245s up front. The 265s have about 5mm clearance to the strut adjusters. I can see why everyone is happy with this setup. It really does get rid of the understeer, the GC camber plates help too, and it does not tramline or wander. The turnin is immediate but will have to wait for a track day to see how the overall balance is. Mild understeer is the goal.

Got rear ended a few weeks ago, put on a new bumper last night. There were some license plate scars already there from the PO when I got the car, so it worked out for me.
Anyone want a beat up sterling grey bumper(last pic) for a project?
I can haz clean, beautiful, organized garage to keep m5 in?
Really man, that's a nice looking garage. My floor is painted in an ugly red paint that's peeling from years of mis-use by previous owners. My walls are broken up drywall painted in about the worst shade of brown-tan....I'm going to list "Re-did my garage" one day as something I did for the m5
