Quixx Scratch Remover Problem

Somebody keyed up my trunk lid pretty bad yesterday so I decided to try out the Quixx scratch remover kit as it got pretty good reviews almost everywhere I checked. It worked fine for the light scratches but after putting some elbow grease into a deeper scratch I ran into a problem. The area I was buffing began to become discolored (I have a titanium silver M5 and it started turning the paint greyish). Anyways, I kept going and finally it began clearing up as well as fixed the scratch. The problem now is that there is a ring of discoloration around the area as the paint only clears up after vigorous buffing. Is there anyway to remove this discoloration without have to basically buff the entire trunk lid until my arms fall off?

Here's a pic of the affected area https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-d...928_164810.jpg

Looks like it's through the clear coat. Get a touch up kit from BMW and get the whole area if u want to do it on the cheap. U can wet sand your touch up after to get rid of the brush strokes, then use the clear to go over top, then we sand once more, then polish.
Sucks man

yea, I'm most likely going to have the entire trunk lid repainted then; there are still a bunch of deep scratches from being keyed. Does anyone have an idea of how much it's going to cost.
