I noticed something missing from my front brake caliper???

I need one brake caliper retainer clip, anyway if you have one lying around for a E39 please pm me asap.....

Yup about $20 from the dealer and they need to order it.

I changed my rear pads last week.
Right side spring clip missing.....and looked as if it had been for some time.
Fitted new pads, road tested, worked fine.
Went to a breaker's yard and picked up one that looked similar...the guy let me have it for free.
On comparison with the left rear clip (observed between wheel spokes) the M5 article is a heavier item.
So I'm going to buy the proper item from the dealer, although I know the price will annoy me.
I'm pretty sure these can be fitted without wheel removal, using a little care and a screwdriver.
