Have you fitted them to make sure they work? What price are you looing at?

As stated previously, pricing is estimated to be $250.00/set, price can go down depending on quantity desired. The brackets will be made using the CAD drawings supplied by Frits - unfortunately will not have any chance to test fit them locally but they will be made to exact specs of Frits' brackets so there's no reason why they would not work.

I ran the numbers tonight to see what happens to the brake system with the PBK and stock rear brakes:

Rough design brake bias: 60.6:39.4 (Front/Rear)
Completely stock setup: 67.5:32.5
PBK & stock rears: 64.6:35.4

Using the stock master cylinder, the hydraulic ratio on the front changes slightly which results in slightly more force needed on the pedal - 160 lb versus 146 lb (based on my pedal ratio)

If I can get some data on the rears that come with the complete PBK, I can crunch and see if they really are beneficial to use or not.

I personally think it would be beneficial to all to have the CAD drawings available to the public. It seems this upgrade has been constrained in part by finding a source for the brackets. If the CAD drawings were available then anyone who wanted could bring them to their local machine shop and have some brackets made. This way we are not beholden to one source in the US and one source in Europe if we want brackets. I am not sure of the money and effort required for you to get CAD drawings made, but I for one think it would be useful.

This stuff is probably a bit over my head so pardon the ignorant questions. You are saying that putting the PBK on the front adds more brake bias to the rear? Is bias just a function of how much fluid particular a caliper requires? If all that is changing is that there is more bias to the rear, why would an increase of force on the pedal be required?

Also just fyi people have been saying it is not possible to add the PBK rear calipers to e39. I for one would like to see an illustration as to what the exact obstacle is to better understand why that is. But others have said it won't work.
