        Got my M5 yesterday

First of all thanks to everyone on the board in helping me in choosing my M5. I live in San Diego, but ordered my car in Torrance due to there early production date time. The car arrived at the dealer on Thursday, but I was not available until yesterday. I drove up yesterday morning in my Honda Civic Si for the last time with my wife in the passanger side. We must have called 4 different credit unions to finalize our interest rate.

Finally after 2h 15min on the road, I made it up to the dealer. As I was walking in the show room, I saw my car and it was love at first site. (Even my wife was impressed) There was about 6 people around my car, then Mike (my dealer) sees me coming in and throws the key to me. I hit the unlock button and suddenly I had 6 pairs of eyes on me, but the only thing I was looking at was the car. After 3 hours of signing papers and trying to get a deal on the interest rate. The car was out of the show room and I was on my way to San Diego. What a joy to ride that machine. I was followed by a E500 black and as he pasted me on the right all four heads turn to the front of my car. I thought I would love to see this car from the outside.

After 2 hours of driving south, all I could due is to think of different reasons to go for a ride.

Again thanks everyone for your help. Sterling grey, black point napa, and al trim. I love it.

Congrats! Take it carefully until the 1200 mile break-in period and then the fun really starts!

I highly recommend you go to the driving experience and try to get some track time with the car. You really don't appreciate what it can do until you push it past what is safe on the highway. These cars are amazing!

That is a great feeling when you first see your M5 and the keys are in your hands. Those people were looking at the M5 dreaming about owning it.....and BANG....you show up and unlock it. All eyes turn to you because you are the new owner of a dream car. Great stuff!

        Congrats on the new ride!

Congrats on your purchase. I have grown more fond of the car and appreciated it more with every day that passes.

Call me when you're in the area and we'll meet at Starbucks! Good Luck with your baby.

BTW, my wife appreciates the car, especially the seat warmers.

I'm glad to see that you've recovered from your 'cold feet' to now feeling warm all over.

The M5 does have the power to cure, from the common cold to depression. Unfortunately, the cost of the medicine is high and not covered by insurance.

Enough shop talk for you. Enjoy.
