Post M Mobility System experience

I recently got to try out the M Mobility System. Oh what fun it is to ride without a spare. Link to my adventure:

Richard,

Thanks for the review. A couple of days ago, I had a blowout on my 540i Sport and the spare saved me while the "M" Mobility System wouldn't have. I was driving on the Santa Ana freeway northbound at 10:30 p.m. I drove over a large and heavy metal piece. My front right wheel was severely bent and cracked but the tire appeared to be OK. I lost pressure because the tire lost its seal with the inner rim. This is one situation where a spare was extremely useful.

Viken

P.S. Several other cars hit the same piece and had blowouts. One of them had 3 and a MB C-class behind me lost its oil pan.

RKS, did you remeber that imediatly after you fill up the tire u should drive at least 20Km !!! That is for the liquid/fluid inserted into the tire spreads equally on the inner surface of tire (due to centrifugal force). Had you done that maybe you shouldn't have felt the vibrations. I know it takes some guts to drive such a car (price & power) with a defect tire, but ti is how you are suposed to do. Fill it up and contitnue driving to uniformizate the fuild distribuition. Don't worry, it does dry quite fast. Know what i didn't know was that there was a speed limit (missinfo on my par).
Anyway the sit discrebed on the post below is a good one when the wouldn't do much good. But anyway u don't hit a big metal piece on the road every day. Yes, one spare helps, but what if u got (like the merc) 3 flats or even 2 flats. Then you're in trouble too. The M system is not that bad...
