Hi all,

I may purchase an Avus blue M5, but can't find too many pics of the exterior color. Does anyone have pics of this color, and know why BMW only made this color for the 2000 model?

Was the paint/color bad and peeled, or did they just replace the color with Lemans? WHY??

I have Avus Blue. BMW used this color for about 6 months during the 2000 model year because they were having trouble with Lemans Blue.

It's really a nice color and unique.

You'd be hard pressed to find a M5 in that color. You'd be much better IMHO going with a 2001+ M5 with Lemans blue. There were a lot of improvements made to the M5 that makes it worthwhile.

Phillip is right, BMW originally released the M5 with Avus blue when they were still working on perfecting Lemans blue.

I noticed you're in Morgan Hill - I'm off the 101 and Bernal! Can I come see your car? Or, worst case, can you post some pics so I can see it? What color interior do you have?
