RD Sport 745i & Boats!!!

Thought I'd share two things with all of you guys! First of all, has anyone seen the new RD Sport version of the 745i? I saw the RD Sport ad in the latest issue of Roundel and I thought to myself that this was the best looking "aftermarket" 745i I have seen yet. If you click on the link to my album below, you'll see that picture of the 745i.
And that leads me to my second topic of discussion! I've finally uploaded a bunch of images of sweet boats from a Poker Run that I attended with my dad and his boat last October at Lake Las Vegas. If you continue through the album that has the 745i in it, you'll see a bunch of images of different boats! In the description area, you'll be able to see which one was my dad's! Also, the last picture in the album isn't a picture at all, it's a video of my dad's boat back in 1998 when the company who built the engines took it out to Lake X in Florida for testing. You'll see the boat doing 147mph across this tiny lake. But, in order to download the video, you'll have to read the directions I left on that last picture in my album. Enjoy em!

It's a good effort, but not good enough IMO- I still don't like the look of the new 7. The wheels are pretty cool though.

That boat is unbeleivable. What is powering it, 3 454 Chevy's? 147mph is very fast . I have had my boat up to 75mph and it feels like you are flying. What was even more impressive then the boats were the trucks towing the boats. They were very nice. Thanks for sharing the photos, your dad has one unbelievable boat.

TCM, my dad's boat is powered by 2 V-12 engines built by Torque Engineering located in Indiana! Each V-12 is naturally aspirated and has 1200hp and 1150 lbs of torque. The smaller boat that I said did 151mph at Las Vegas had twin 1000hp Mercury supercharged V-8 engines! The 47' Skater "#333" had twin 1300hp Sterling V-8 engines also supercharged.
The plan that Torque Engineering had, was to make very powerful yet sturdy and durable marine engines without having to supercharge them.
We know another guy up at Lake Powell who has a 40' Skater with twin 1200hp Sterling engines. Yet, with Sterling engines, you have to have them rebuilt after the first 100 hrs of use to make sure that nothing is wearing down etc. Pretty much like any race engine. With Torque Engineering V-12's though, it's not until around 500 hrs of use!

Oh, by the way, if anyone is, or knows of anyone who would be interested in that 40' Skater with twin Sterling's up at Lake Powell, let me know! The guy who owns it is selling it and moving on to bigger boats now! He just got it last summer and that's the only time he's used it. It also has an amazing paint job on it. That boat new cost him over 800k and I think he's asking around 600k for it. It's a steal for a Skater!
