Celebrating 500th post, Let's Do Lunch!

Hi,

The first 500 posts sure passed by fast, like an M5 going 0-60.

Per popular request (by Swing ) let's see if we can set up a Bay Area lunch for Friday, 5-24-2002. I propose 12 noon at Country Gournet (Corner of Mary and Fremont in Sunnyvale) as they have great parking.

Please let us know if this is a good day. I know it's only 2 weeks notice, but the closer we get to schools letting out for summer, the tougher it is for parents.

Let's hear from you folks.

How about a little further north this time? mid-peninsula (92@101) is probably the center-most spot if you want any San Fran or east bay folks...

Greg,

Not a problem. I don't know the area well so could you please name a place?

Does it mean that you can possible make it this time?

Hi Pong,
The 24th sounds good to me. Perhaps make it at 11:30 so we get in before the lunch crowd. I'll bring your Mintex brake pads with me ; )

Hi Bob,

Starting 11:30 am is not a problem for me also. In fact, I arrive at 11:30 every time to make sure we've got seats and other conveniences.

So a revised call:

Lunch on Friday 5-24-2002, 11:30 am, at a mid-peninsula restaurant to be hand-picked by Greg, our beloved restaurant/food/auto conniseur (spelling?)

And Bob, please bring the Mintex, that'd be great. I'll have a check/cash to pay you back. Did you have your Mintex on yet?

Hi Pong,
I haven't had a chance to install the Mintex pads yet... my car has been in the shop for over a month! It's a very long story, in short... the dealer scratched my car when it was in for service and they have had a terrible time getting it right again. I hope to have it back before the 24th.

Hi Guys

I doubt I will be able to make it @ mid-peninsula cause I work @ San Jose and it will take me ~1 hr to drive round trip.

Well I just realized that at that very moment I'll still be LAPPING LAS VEGAS MOTOR SPEEDWAY IN AN OPEN WHEEL FORMULA CAR along with Andy, Bart and others. Sorry - couldn't help rubbing it in a bit....

So have this one whereever you want - I'll try to make the next one.

cheers!

Well, flexibility is a virtue (at least I hope so).

We're back to Country Gourmet for this time (Sugi, is that better?) We'll go mid-peninsula for our next lunch.

Hey Pong,

Thanks for organizing the lunch. I should be free that day to do lunch..(fingers crossed) barring any unexpected events.
