Not you Harry, I was asking the OP. That 540 sure isn't oxford green, either. Thanks Josiah.

Is this the wheel?

Oxford - I don't see these under the Voxx brand on the Discount Tire or Discount Tire Direct web sites, but do see them listed under the "Replica" brand below - is this the wheels you go? Do they have a warranty of any kind? As a side note, the Discount Tire website shows to have only the 8" wide rims, but the Discount Tire Direct website also shows the 9.5" rims. When you ordered them online did you have to pay any sales tax by any chance?

Any idea on the weight of the Replica wheels/tires you bought? Maybe we could back out the wheel weight if you weighed the tire/wheel combos.

Answering my own question here: 1010tire.com lists them as follows :

SizeBolt Pattern (mm)Offset (mm)Weight (lbs)
Per Rim

5/1201426.5$264.99
5/1202627.2$274.99

Ouch, that's heavier than the M5 wheels (rears are 25.6lbs). (I doubt the chrome adds much, but they don't have the machined finish info on the site.) Not a HUGE difference, but not the direction I'd want to go.

I'm wondering about strength and stiffness. I haven't found the info on whether these (or the original M parallels) are cast, forged, etc.

I wonder how heavy the Hankook's are compared to the Michelin PS2s (will go looking for that info next).

Harry, I just looked at your pictures more closely; you had mudflaps on your 530i! Nice! Those 19x9.5" look so nice!

M Parallel replica update

Quick update on how the M Parralel replicas have held up thus far... I've had them on for about 3 months now and so far no signs of peeling or staining/discoloration at all. I've been pretty religious about cleaning off any salt or dirt every few days or so. I have noticed some minor nicks and scratches, but nothing concerning. The clear coat seems to be holding up well. They still ride straight and true, no bends or damage from potholes (and I've hit a couple of doozies...Massachusetts roads are like mine fields in the Winter).

I've been really happy with the Hankook v12 evos too. Surprisingly quiet, awesome grip, nice road manners. On a smooth highway going 70, shift to neutral and you hear almost nothing. They are summer rated, but I drove them in a few inches of snow a couple of times and (unlike my old e36 with Dunlop SP's) I actually didn't feel like I was going to die! Front wheel drive Civics were passing me like I was standing still, but that's ok

Here's an updated picture. The MPars pretty much look the same as they did three months ago. If that changes (due to some replica defect or something), I will keep you posted.

They were running some instant online rebates when I bought them - $100 off. When I called them on the phone to double check availability, the sales rep offered to take my order on the spot. He still gave me the $100 online rebate, plus knocked $50 off the install kit. I would recommend setting up your order online, but definitely call them on the phone as well. Below is a copy of the receipt:

I wouldn't buy the tires they are offering anyway, but perhaps their target market is the 540i owners and not the M5 crowd.
They do offer 275's as well for the 9.5's. On the Discounttiredirect website, the staggered tire options that it displays corresponds to the stock setup of the type of car you enter in your search (245/275's for an M5; 235/265's for a 540i). The 8"/9.5" staggered wheel option fits both of those stock setups.
