Angry What a $hit week I had...

Hello fellow M-Enthusiasts!

Well this week was quite a terrible one.

I started off by getting my results for my semster exams. Didn't fail but the marks were

Then I come home on friday evening to see this:

My dad had the 5 removed
He wanted the car to look exactly like his old 7series on which he had stuck an "M".
Oh well not to big of a problem for me (don't worry we'll have the M removed aswell)

But the main thing I almost freaked out was this:

I just couldn't belive what I saw!!
The car is 1(!!) week old the fu... paint is all scrapped up!!
Our stupid dealer advised us not to wash the car for the first 3 weeks. But this idiot tries to remove the M with a piece of (parcel) string and then tries to polish the rubber away with bezol (alcohol)!!!
I was freaked! I guess my dad didn't really realise this. Cause he was quite upset when I showed him what had happened.
So we go up to the dealer and he just laughes at us saying that it just needs a bit of a polish...
What do you guys think?? To me it looks really bad...
My dad wants him to repaint to whole trunk if he doesn't make it look like new.

Another thing that went wrong was the leather interior...
We didn't get the full leather interior which we had ordered.
So BMW might want our car back to replace it with a new one or extend it with the full leather.
Will know more by next weekend!
Some pics you had asked for (sorry, unfortunately terrible results. They were taken in the garage):

cheers
MRacer

P,s Sorry, for those who hadn't read my first post of the car:here it is...

OOOH! That's bad! What an idiot is the guy at the dealership!
Anyhow, I would try Meguire's Scratch X to thoroughly work the product in with a applicator pad. Then wipe it off with a dry terry cotton towel. Follow it with Meguire's "Deep Crystal System" Step 2 and 3 (Polish and wax). You may need to apply step 1 a few times. I swear by the scratch X. It does not contain any abrasive particles like some other compounds, so it does not abrade your paint away. If this doesn't do the trick, have the dealership repaint the trunk

Hey that is a very nice interiour!

What is the name of the leather interiour?

Of course you should have it in full leather, don't accept anything else!

MRacer: First of all....calm down! It's not that bad! Seriously! Your dealership was right when they told you that polish was all that was needed to take care of things for you. One exception however is that he didn't fill in the blanks for you. It's not quite as simple as they made it sound. Rezf was right when he suggested those steps for you. That should take care of the "swirl" marks that you're seeing. Be sure to use some Q-tips to get to those tight spots.

On another note, you cannot get the "all-leather" option anymore. That was last available with the 2000 M5's. Now we just have either the Luxury (which is what you have) or the Sport interior. What you have is beautiful!

correction: I might be wrong about the "all-leather" option. It might still be available over in Europe. Can someone clarify things here?

Gustav: That's caramel isn't it?

I am not sure if the all leather interior is available for the 02 M5, but it was still an option when I ordered my 01 here in Canada. I think the option was $7000 canadian.

Thanks for your support!

Hi Guys!

I really appreciat your support!

Are you sure about the swirls?
It is not only the looks! The colour feels very dull. If you touch the sourface of that area it feels very rough. Like someone had used sandpaper to scarp something off....

Oh well will see what happens.

P.s I hope no one from BMW is reading.
The dealer told me that the full leather interior was still available. But he had ordered a special package with individual colour, leather (extended) and wood.
During order he asked an other guy from BMW if the extended leather would come with covered dash etc. He also didn't know.
So last week he had a general manager from BMW at his place who had told him that the customer had to give his car back because he (customer) was not happy with it! (the dealer had told him before).
My dad feels fooled. Cause we wanted the full leather which costed around 9000$ but he ordered the package which costed altogether around 5000$

Will let you know what happens

P.s our car is all individual:
colour: midnightblue
leather: walknappa cream
wood: birch antracite

cheers

Yep! That's a Motorola V50.
BMW sell them for around 450$ over here.
I bought it from a shop for 0.- (with a contract) and sent it in to have the BMW software uploaded

Although it is far behind the latest technic... Oh well politics...
