BMW 5 series one of most expensive cars to insure
I had no idea our cars were that expensive to insure.. I thought there would be lots of other cars ahead of us... of course, porsches, ferraris, etc are not factored in this poll, since they are "limited" production vehichles... But still, it's quite shocking... here's the article:
10 most expensive cars to insure
The 10 most expensive 2002 vehicles to insure are:
1. Mitsubishi Montero Sport
2. Chevrolet Corvette Convertible
3. Lexus GS 430
4. Cadillac Escalade
5. BMW 7 Series
6. Honda Civic Coupe
7. Chevrolet Corvette Coupe
8. Mitsubishi Mirage Coupe
9. Toyota 4Runner
10. BMW 5 Series

T,
And here I thought it was because we live in Boston that everything is so bloody expensive to insure! BTW, the link doesn't work or at least it doesn't work for the specific page of the article.

Man, I wonder how that's possible? I would think the Viper insurance would be through the roof compared to M5. Hmmph, go figure...

With State Farm in So. Cal, the cost is slighly more than a 3 series. Any model of 911 Porsche is exactly DOUBLE! A Ferrari (348) is the same as an M5 (just major service costs).

I guess I'm glad that I live in the midwest. My M-5 is less expensive to insure than several other less expensive cars that I have owned in the past.

ALX I was wondering the same thing about MB. My wife's S430 costs roughly twice as much to insure as my M5. Go figure.
