Peake Code 7F - DM-TL module - ???

Went to check codes before installing the Powerchip software last night. Got the "7F - DM-TL module" [along with an AF - air fuel adaption cyl # 5 - 8 ; MAF i believe] and have no information on what it is. Can anyone provide info on what it is?

Thanks.

I have 7F code intermittently. I had my Indie shop and BMW dealership trackdown the issue. Both came to the conclusion of "gas cap leak". I had my gas cap replaced twice but it hasn't resolved the issue. Sorry I'm no help.

Try replacing the gas cap, check for vacuum leaks around the carbon canister, and if that doesn't work, replace the carbon canister.

I had the same code I believe, there is a pump that pressurizes your gas tank (same code that comes up when you have a loose gas cap) I chased my tail forever before I found anyone smart enough to tell me what it is. I haven't fixed it yet, but it hasn't come on in a good 3 months. If and when it does I will replace the "DTML pump" or whatever it's called. I think there might even be two different modules that could be the problem. I'll see if I can track down the work order to help you along.

This is great. Thanks.

I'll clear the codes and see what happens. If it returns then I'll look at a new cap.

Cleared the code. Waiting to see what rears its ugly head in a few days.
