LOL...... Sometimes people forget this car has been around for 11 years, and this forum for those 11 years. 99.9999999% of the time, the question has been asked before.....
Fair - I will say that I personally like to re-start (or ressurect) threads where the "answer" was found but is now a few years old since last asked, to see if members know of any more recent learnings.
Of course, license plate nostalgia doesn't quite meet those requirements...

I am in my 16th yr of owning an M5 (E28 for 7 yrs; current E39 for 10 and for the math majors, I kept both for a yr...and I miss my E28) and I've always wanted to get a tag that reads 4DR911...and I am hard-core Porsche guy as well. Love my M5!
As an old Deadhead I've had GD on my Pennsylvania plate for about 10 years now. Even though I keep telling my 80 year old mom it means Grateful Dead she insist otherwise. When I got the M5 i thought of switching to cover a Dead song. Unfortunately EZ Wind has already been taken. Mom is just going to have to live with it.
