I thought checking the manufacturers (importers?) site would produce the most comprehensive results...

Right, but there's an M5 spec and part number on Ksport's actual website.

So what's needed to address the brake line that you had mentioned?

If you look at your front brake lines you will see that there is a bracket on the inner wing which is welded in place.

This bracket has a hole in the middle where the two brake lines join.

The flexy brake hose goes in on the top and the fixed metal one goes in thru the bottom.

The metal pipe has the male end and has a spring clip.

The female end of the flexy hose goes in thru the top and connects to the metal pipes male end, once done up
they secured in place becuase the spring clip has compacted and keeps them from moving.

The hose's supplied in the kit had the wrong female ends, they were to wide so would not go thru the hole.
They supply an adaptor and washers which we tried. That allowed them to be secure but also allowed to leak under presure.

In the end we had a new set of hose's with the correct 10mm (I think) female end.

The hoses for the rear are the same but these fitted no problem as they secure with rubber gromets.

We could have drilled out the hole in the bracket on the front but didn't want to as I want to be able to
go back to full OEM if I ever need to.

Okay, you've convinced me - I'm ordering a K-Sport kit for the front. I read your other post as well and will go for the same size (356mm OD) to ensure they fit under the standard rims. I'm not sure if I will be able to contain myself for the delivery period though!
Thanks for posting all the info I will be back to pick your brains on your intake and exhaust setup but brakers are required first!

Where'd you get the anti-glare film?

Jealous of your car....no other word for it. Simply stunning, well done.

Hi There,

Thanks for the compliments and good choice on the brakes. Make sure you speak to Kev Duckworh and make sure you tell him you need the brake pipes for the BMW E39 M5 as per the ones he had to send out afterwards to Paul MacDonald (thats me), he should know what you mean as the ones that come with the kit don't fit and youre end up buying extra ones.
