this is one very well sorted E39! I agree with all the previous commenters - this car appears to have been a labour of love for you. I love how the e39 guys love to get their hands dirty!

I wince at the thought of you parking those cars outside in the snow and salt! It's a shame when rust eats a coil off your springs.

Guys what can I say, thank's to every one for all the positive messages and the number of them.

The car has been a true labour of love but one that I have enjoyed doing and one that is just about where I want it.

I always knew that the Alpina parts were not going to be to every ones taste but I love them and hey its my car and I think they work well.

Since the original post I've changed the tyres and the Falcons that I had on were letting the coilovers down, I now have a set of pilot sport 2's on her and wow what a difference. I've also changed the light up sill's. The original ones had the M5 logo and horizontal lines light up on the front but only the M5 logo on the rear. I've changed to a matching set so that the only the logo lights up front and rear.

The next thing on the list is the rear centre console, I'm just waiting for it to come back from the trimmers and then that will be fitted, from there its a bit of paint on the front end to get rid of sone stone chips, a new clutch as that has started to slip and at the same time I will be doing the centre prop bearing, the rear link and the dif rear seal.

Then I'm there well apart from the sound system, for that I am keeping the o.e screen and adding JL amps and speakers.

Any way thanks again for all the response's and I look forward to meeting a few of you on the 28th in kent.
