Titanium silver owners
I'm thinking about tinting the windows on my '02 Titanium Silver. I'm looking for advice/pics from Ti owners who have tinted. What is a good % of tint. I'm looking to give the car a little edge, nothing too crazy. If you have pics, please post.
Thanks,
TMac

They will finish my tint this Saturday. I'll post some pics then. I chose the LEGAL route to avoid any hassles.

I have what is called 20% tint. However, everyone's 20% tint may be different. The tint used on my car is actually 22%. But, some are as low as 16% and still called 20%. I do not mean to confuse you but you should find out the manufacturer of the tint and find out exactly what % it is. I found the 20% at one dealer that was around 16% way to dark and found the lighter 22% much better. There are basically 4 tints and the percentage vary on how close they are to these value. 50% barely any tint at all. 35% probably most popular, a light tint that you can see evrything inside the car. 20% you can only see a siloette(spelling) 5%- limo tint cannot see inside. Hope that helps and I did not confuse you to much. By the way posting pictures of a car with tint will not give you a good sampling of darkness. You need to see the shades in person. Different indirect or direct sunlight will make the tint look dark or lighter than it really is. Good luck.

Thanks!
I appreciate the responses.
Rocket- I like what you have on your car. Do you know the name of the manufacturer of your tint? How much did you pay?
Thanks!

tmacsilverm5,
Thanks for hte compliment. The brand that they used was called Madico , weird name, but it is good stuff. If you are NYC, there are a few places in Queens that do a good job and offer you a lifetime warranty. I can probabyll find out where my cousin got his car done, he is in NY.
I paid $275, but the price included a full detail, so I am assuming I probably paid around $200-225 for the tint.
Hey can anyone else on the board recommend another brand or tint? I have heard names like Llumar, Formula 1?

Rocket,
I dig the 3M product line of tint. Have used the Black Panther film on my last ten or so cars and never had one problem. It also helps to find an experienced installer. I love going to have my windows tinted as I like to watch them do it. These guys are craftsmen!
Regards,
DWP

Did you get the tint? Please post pics. I'm taking my car in next week. What % did you get.
Thanks!
