Thanks.

The car is about 50 miles shy of the big 100,000 mark. And no blue smoke that we noticed when revving the day we installed.

Anybody near Parsippany, NJ (Morristown area) have a muffler delete that they can show me?

I've got a full Britalman catback exhaust with their X-pipe that I'm willing to part with if a muffler delete still has the sound I want. The stock exhaust is just sitting in the garage and I'd really like to free up some space.

I PM'd both of you guys.

Paul, it might be easier for me to go to the car meet instead but I'll look at my options.

how would straight pipes from the cats back sound on a 540i? with a single exhaust... I already have my Y res removed, and Im considering either a magnaflow muffler or no muffler and just tips, (either timmay tips if he still makes them, or something else) If there are decent timmay alternatives what are they?

Thank you

Got my Timmay tips installed today. Sweet Jesus does it sound good. Drove all 20 miles home with windows down and a silly grin on my face. I would describe the sound as perfect. I am so happy.

Tim was very good to deal with. Kept me updated on the tips from the moment I paid him until they were delivered at my front door. Even accommodated my last minute request to get the ///M5 logo etched in. The product speaks for itself.

Had WTB Mufflers in Poway (San Diego) do the work. They were recommended by someone else on this board. I can see why. They were meticulous and these guys truly have pride in their work. I would highly highly recommend them. Chatted with the owner for a while and he evenmentioned that someone with an E39 M5 came all the way from LA to get the muffler delete.

And the final product....
