One More Diff Question...M-Diff on M5??
I was just wondering, does anyone know if the M-differential on the m3 would even fit onto the M5. Let alone handle the power, and torque. Lets say that it did and could, would it help out with traction the same way on the M5 as it does on the M3. Just a question that I don't know if anyone has thought about or looked into. A finally, does anyone know the final drive ratio of it, anything close to the 3.45 that Dinan sells. With all the diff questions on the board, and hearing how people like it so much, I was wondering if anyone had looked into this option??

The M3 uses a 3.64 rear diff.... I think it would be a bit too low for the M5... and I doubt it would hold up to nearly 400 ft/lbs of torque...

M5 Extraordinare!
Look at that... the M5 has a 3.15 rear diff and the M3 has a 3.64. They had to do that just so the M3 would keep up with the mighty M5! That kind of speaks volume here about just how much power the M5 really has!
