Cast Wheels vs Forged

In answer to the question regarding what is the diff between cast and forged, I can offer this answer from researching golf clubs. Cast metal parts are produced by pouring molten metal into a form. Forged metal parts are milled directly from a block of metal.
There are one piece forged wheels and two piece forged (which are then welded/bolted together. I remember the old 2 piece forged Centerline aluminum racing wheels from my bracket racing days 20 years ago. they were the hottest (and most expensive) wheels of the day.

I am no authority on wheels these days, but if golf club analogy holds, one pcs forged should be the best performer (and most expensive), followed by 2 pcs, then cast wheels.

One plus to forged over cast is that with forged, if you get a dent, you can bend it back, try this with a cast rim and it'll crack.
