Bionic legs for my BEAST!

All,

I had the Dinan Stage II suspension installed on my car yesterday at my Dinan-authorized dealer/Performance Center.

All I can say is "What a difference"!!!!!!!

The car now has a completely new personality in the handling department. Feels alot like my old E36 M3... but with alot more kick!

Road feel is excellent! Although the ride is somewhat more firm, it does not jar your teeth. Front end is a little lower, so the entire car sits a little more agressively standing still.

I took the off ramp from the Sam Houston Tollway onto I-10 West last night at 90+ and the body roll was almost non-existent! The car feels 500 pounds lighter!

I definitely recommend this upgrade for those of you who (like me) are yearning for M3 handling in the M5! Can't wait to take it to Texas World Speedway for a few laps around the track!!

Nice One Andy!

Hehhehheh!

As an owner of 4 Schnitzer modified E36 M3s I know where you are coming from: E36 handling in an E39 M5? Yes please )

And at last, I've tracked down the Dinan importer here in the UK - (Birds Garages - who also do the Hartge E36 supercharger upgrade).

So let's see the pic man!

Suspension sounds awesome! Why did you choose the II instead of I or III? I too would like my M5 to handle like the M3 I just traded for it!

The only difference between the II and III are the camber plates with the III which, if adjusted properly will definitely reduce understeer, but at the expense of greatly increased tire wear rate. Many don't find that trade off appealing.

All,

DrKevM5 is right... the only difference between Stage II and Stage III is the camber plates.

My mechanic recommended waiting and installing "adjustable" camber plates later on...this way, I can adjust them with negative camber when I go to the track and then re-adjust them back to normal for regular road use. This will keep from chewing up the front tires.
