Thanks for all your advice Alan. About the fuel pump, is it possible to determine whether it's a power supply issue to the fuel pump or the fuel regulator rather than the actual fuel pump failing.

Thanks,

Art

By the way, my indy quoted my nearly $1000.00 for the fuel pump job.

Hi Art,

$1000 is obscene for this job! Fuel pump (Part # 16146752369) is $342, relay (Part # 61357892976) is $39 and the regulator
(Part # 13531404089) is $63 at Tischer (getBMWparts.com). Be sure to also order the sealing washer (Part # 07119963129)
that goes between the regulator body and fuel filter. With only 20 PSI, the fuel pump is gone, don't even hesitate about
replacing it. The fuel pump relay is the taller, black relay located in right side of trunk.

These are fairly simple DIY replacements and you'll save over $550.

Regards,
Alan
