I don't really. Not my taste, however I am not against them in any way, and they match the rest of the car's aesthetic theme of clean, stockish, non-m E39; and, they do so quite perfectly.

No one was going to set their personal best @ that drag strip.
As I mentioned in my post with the video is was basically NOT prepped and it was 85F.
Rao wanted to take it easy on the launch to make it back to Chicago and didn't have the stickiest tires.
Rao was the fastest E39 last year, the only BMW who got into the 12s....

Even tho I give him sh1t about his wheels I fully understand why he uses them.

hey rao i was wondering who did the flash on the gauge cluster and if it required a vin to get the flash right ,but im looking to this on my 528i but thats my only problem so any help would be great ,and would it be possible to run the original computer and just jump crertain wires like the starter speedo and the temp sensor ,and then run the stand alone harness for the motor and trans ,i was also wondering what you used for the trans mount ?but all in all it is a great swap and very well done

I believe he did his own cluster coding.

You'll need NCSexpert and the proper hardware cable/interface.

Mine was done in a totally different way then I would do it now, and I wasn't the one who did it on my car.

I have posted this several times - the instrument cluster needs to be coded for a analog tach signal and analog coolant temp signal. That is pretty easy to do now with the software that is available. Then you have to run the additional wires that go with that coding, which is a no-brainer.

you obviously have alot of expierence with canbus its just a new area for me so all the coding stuff throws me off ,so would any performance shop be able to do the recode on the speedometer and temp signals ,im not trying to beat a horse to death id just rather get the right info from the person who has done it ,sorry if i sparked a flame,but thanks for the help.
