ESS S/Cd M5 in the Philippines

Nope not mine....... Although it would be nice to have sometime in the future. I'm still enjoying all the N/A goodness at this point.

Apparently, someone just imported an LMB E39 M5 with an ESS supercharger into the Philippines. It's got diplomatic plates is all I know. Anyone here on the board?

I happened upon it at a local specialty repair and bodyshop, Ensport Motors here in Manila and I'm wondering if the car belongs to anyone on this board. I'm guessing it was imported from the U.S.

Anyone anyone?

Why would a diplomat have all of this money to import a premium vehicle into the Philippines and mod it? I tried importing my father-in-law's Buick into the PI and the import tax was more than the value of the vehicle.

I don't think you pay taxes for importing a diplomatic car

Exactly. Plus "diplomatic" doesn't necessarily mean you're the consule or the ambassador. You could work at the embassy or consulate of the respective country and are entitled to diplomatic benefits.
