Pads bed in procedure and wheel cleaner

After 2 days spend at Lime Rock and 300 miles of track time
my rotors got substantial pad deposits on them. No warping or cracks, but the vibration and sound are pretty bad.

After an extensive discussion with the Stoptech guys I would agree that one would need a separate set of rotors and performance pads for track. Pads also have to be propelly bedded in. (Wich means about 10 100mph to 5 mph roll stops with cool down in between).

Question is when cleaning the wheels some of that wheel cleaner gets on the rotors and eats away the film that was formed by the pad afer bed in. So should we not clean tha wheels with racing rotors and pads on? Clean them with water only? or rebed the pads after each cleaning?

I would think the later is the answer. If that's the deal then why not use one set of rotors (I surely wouldn'tlike to swap rotors for every track event) and just clen them with wheel cleaner before putting stret pads on?

Last question for you guys is what is the best source to buy Pagid oranges for M5 and what is the part numbers front and rear for stock brake system

If you plan on doing any tracking, you have to accept that there are certain items that become disposables. More often pads, tires, fluid, and sometimes rotors (depending on track). As for bedding them in, 100-10 is not necessary. All we do on cars we do installs on, and my track car for that matter, is take the car up to about 60 and do about 4 increasing in intensity brakings down to about 35-40. Then, drive around for awhile and allow the air to cool things. Park for about 20-30 minutes and then repeat, this time with a bit more authority once the 1st procedure has been done. You should be good to go from then on.
As for those Pagids, no idea, but you really ought to consider the Carbotech Panther Plus or even XP depending on whether you wish to remove/install separate pads at the track. Good luck!
