Those are some very nice pictures you've got there! You've just reminded me just how much I like Imola red! Too bad it's not something that I could ever picture myself getting for myself! Too risky especially with the cops and my driving habits!

Do you think you'll ever get another M5 again?

Your great pictures remind me of how much I love my Imola M5. 9 months a NO tickets (knock on faux aluminum trim).

Tim,
how does the color of your beast change SO drastically in those pics? Starts off almost maroon in the first two pics and in the third is bright red (ferrari red??). Is it just lighting?

Pete:

It is the lighting. And part of it is the polish. I had the car dry sanded and polished after it was hit on the hood. This matched all the orange peel texture and gave it a GREAT shine. I set it next to my Imola M Roadster and there was a difference. The M5 color was a deeper color.

Oh and BTW no tickets in it either or the Roadster (red attracting cops is just a myth)

Dave:

I broke my Smiler that day that is for sure. I actually bought it a block from where I graduated high school. I had to chuckle at the irony of having terrible grades in school and driving the ultimate car. The only downfall was having to leave it there to be shipped to Denver
