My Le Mans Blue M5 + OEM Shadow Chrome Wheels: Pictures!
Gentlemen,
I have decided to create a separate thread for this bunch of pictures. Its early, I'm sleepy and went out this morning to take some pictures so you can all see the refurbish OEM Shadow Chrome Wheels on my car. I think it deserves its own thread
As many of you know, I entered a gigantic quest to have the wheels refurbished in the way that I believe they should be done. This was all explained on this thread: Click here to read the Refurbish Process for the Shadow Chrome Wheels.
Yesterday I had the wheels installed at Frits during the early morning. After coming home, I detailed the driver's side of the car, which took me the afternoon + night to do, with a two stage polishing process, involving a lot of burnishing to increase the natural gloss of the paint. Today is the passenger's side that gets some attention (last weekend was the back bumper and back part of the trunk).
You may notice that the side trim looks uneven on the car, this is because the rear passenger door is new trim, the rest is on order! Sucks, but when its all complete, I will take more pictures anyway.
Here they are for you:
Here are some in the shadow.

You're an inspiration. Just looked at mine, dusty and fly spattered in the gravel carpark here in Assen...and I'm frankly embarrassed.
Be good when I get my wheels done, though. Then perhaps it'll look as good.
On the plus side, the guys from BMW Motorsport were impressed to see an M5 on british plates with 210,000 miles here

Tiauguinho,
THat is one of the cleanest M5's I have seen in a long time. What exhaust system do you have on your car... ?

Don't be embarrassed My car is my daily driver to work and back, it gets dusty and fly spattered in no time with all the highway driving. Every Saturday it gets a wash however. When your wheels are done, give it a proper clean up and she will be happy (and with 210,000 miles, she is one experienced lady!).

Its a Supersprint Magnum! Sounds meaner and growls deeper, but does not invade the cabin too much for the daily driving task

Beautiful wheels,
Those rims look perfect and I hope that finish will last a very long time for you. Now if we could get a manufacturer to make those exact rims with the same strength and weigh about 17 lbs. per piece .

Well done Tiago !
