Raikku, thanks for the impressions so far. It sounds like it is working out well to this point. I'm very interested in your further experiences.
Yes, definitely interested in further experiences Raikku - especially in daily driver mode. I need Mike S. to have this info so he can do this upgrade and be my local beta tester ;>

Small test drive completed!

Have to say that it was "quite" nice thing, even there is not power maps still inside.
Hmm, little bit hard to explain, but way much better feeling in all rpm-levels now. And in sport mode, there is no any jerkyness like Raikku mentioned too. Very smooth ride!
And now I have seen on my own eyes that MAFs was not connected, and everything worked just great (no errors, no nothing)

Allready have to say that REALLY nice work Sal and Raikku!

Hmm... Where is my rod bearings?! I want this AlphaN **** too!

Very curious to try this myself as well and see how it feels, since I do understand what you mean with the jerkiness.

Raikku, how about you come and pick me up for a drive too?

If I catch the morning ferry,I might drop by tomorrow evening,Tiago

Mailman and I had a nice test drive, maybe a bit too short, but enough for an impression.

As you can see the result is another remap in Finland soon needed

I blew now a full gas filling driving the car in all kind of cycles.
From soft and gentle to really over 7000rpm each gear, high speeds, low speeds....

All the weirdness of the throttle behavior stock is gone!
Even more noticeable in sport mode.
Before I really had to concentrate in sport mode a bit to drive and shift the car smooth.
It drives now like it should have come out of the factory.

Turning the beast back to almost stock for the whole project made me the last few weeks quite a bit unhappy.
For me it was just driving pretty ok....

Now it is a real precise driving machine, like it should be!
I start smiling driving it again

I'm guessing this line sums up what most of us are looking for. I was about to spring for new MAFs, but am waiting to see how this plays out with a few more folks and longer time. Like every new mod that comes out (for this car or any other), there is always an excitement factor...until one guy (and there will be somebody) posts his dissatisfaction with the mod. Not slamming anyone, just sayign that's how it always works with these things.

vantaam - so are your MAFs just sitting there disconnected at this point or is one of them connected because of the IAT or ???

Well, there is always one who is unhappy, isn't it like that?

But I think that I am also quite critical when it comes down to mods and driveability.

Evolve made the car better performing.

Kumaran,Phil and I have driven quite a few different E39 M5s yet.
And mailman also is no newbie owner.
We all come to the same conclusion, that the car drives better now.

Ah,I am unhappy about one thing:

I need more power...
