UK M Power Institute Day 14 March

Just did the UK M5 Driving Course at the Prodrive Centre, Kenilworth yesterday. Amazing! and very different to what I have read about on the board from the previous Brands Hatch venue. This site is an old airfield latterly owned by Lucas Girling as a proving/test ground and now dedicated to vehicle proving by Prodrive. Multi/variable grip surface tracks, wet/dry areas, 2.6 mile circuit around the perimeter to put your theory sessions to the test and two public highway sessions to assess and practice "road risk management". Finally, you get the option to use your own M5 (and most of us did) in a free one hour session on the track or multi-surface areas.

This course is completely run by BMW staff (I believe Kent police were involved at Brands) and every instructor knows the M5 inside out.

Overall assessment? Brilliant!!! for those of us in the UK that have not yet taken up the opportunity to be on this course, take my advice and enjoy it. It is also great to see 10 M5s all lined up in the Prodrive Directors' Car Park!
