BMW M Series car
Hey guys!

Ok not really sure if this has been asked before or not. But here it goes. Why is it the BMW has a M3 and M5 but no M7 series??? Just a thought?

'coz it's not in the M philosophy to build a M7... the 7 series would not have a manual transmission, plus it will never be able to be competitive on the track..... also, from a business standpoint, I don't think they will be able to sell enough of it to justify the research and development cost.
besides, the new 760 plus sports package should be more than enough to compete directly with the S55....

the M7
The closest thing to an M7 would be the old e23 745i South African version, c/w the 286bhp enging from the M635. This was produced on the M prod lines, and was virtually hand built.
Other than that, it's down to Alpina/Schnitzer etc if you weren't happy with the performance of the std 7.
