SL55 For ME

Funny how this came up

I wandered out of my local MB delaership on friday with a deposit on the SL55

No i wont get rid of the beast - and no i wont race a beast either - just out of respect.

But the more i hear bout the car the happier i am at my decision - I know - no 6 speed and its blown - but it may not apeal to some drivers but i appeals to me - besides if i want driving pleasure in its purest form i will have my 2000 beast to take out

YUMMIE

Thanks for the info

M5 Mark

Its been tested at 208 mph the SL55 and has a 0-60mph of about 4.2 and is automatic...it is that fast, and looks beautiful.
With a m5 I feel no jealousy about any other car except perhaps this beast.

The car in the test had more power, but still the outcome would be roughly the same, read BAD
By the way guys, if anyone gets to test drive it, you have to tell us what its like, it's a criminal offence not to disclose such information I don't think anyone has driven it yet?
The SL 55 in the test had 500 Hp, and that is within the +- 5 % spread which is normal..........

The mag did a dyno of the car after the test...............

Tfung, I honestly belive the Bi Turbo will be able to at least stay with the M5 so it will loose by the same trailer lengths I did, and my airfilter was full of a birds home at the time. it was so clogged that it stopped my engine at a later race against the 996 turbo...

The B7 i have feels stronger than the Bi Turbo but according to factory info it should be slower. Maybe I get a chance to test them together this summer.

I wish I could be the test-pilot for the other car. I've never enjoyed the thrill of a 'speed-free-zone'.
