Another what is my M5 worth thread...

'00 87k miles Titanium silver all options except window shades black on silver leather sport interior.

The car has an extended warranty with slightly under 2 years remaining and 25,000 miles. Needs nothing, well maintained at dealer. All service records available.

Has 19" 5zigen Sport Engine Forged Wheels

Black Grill

Tinted windows with lifetime warranty.

Other than that the car is entirely stock.

Sorry about the crappy pics, but you get the drift.

NOTE:
The car has a clean title, however it has been in a minor accident. I was hit in the passenger side fender lightly, but it was reported as a hit and run. It does show up on carfax.

the warranty is worth a lot to a prospective future owner, but non-stock rims are not a plus and may detract from the value. I would say 20-23K depending on condition of the car.

Lose the grill badge too especially if you want to sell it

Really, that much? I was thinking more along the lines of 17-18k. I'm going to be posting it in the classifieds, and I realize people are always hunting for a deal....

Interested in selling the wheels? Might be interested depending on the size tires, etc...

Dont expect 20-23K, but list it for that price. The warranty like I said is pretty valuable in it's own right but get it as close to stock as possible (ahem, lose the grill bage) and hope for 18-20K.

Agreed. Loose the badge, put the original wheels back on and tout the extended warranty. I'd suggest mentioning that you have service records too.

Well it turns out my friend wants to buy the car. I was thinking 18k would be a fair price for it, considering the warranty, condition etc. Think that'd be a good price to settle at, or am I selling myself short?

If you list it at 18K you will probably get less. If you list it at 20K you will probably get 18K...

In this market people are always looking for a deal and its rare to see cars going for asking price, which is why I say list at ~20K and hope for 18K

Also depends how fast you want to sell it...
