Dinan 3:45 Diff owners, Question.

I getting frustrated. There are times, not always but frequent, when I engage the clutch and the car "lurches" or "jerks" forward. I can't seem to get smooth shift. What am I doing wrong here?

Hi Lupo - I've had the gears in since August and don't seem to have the issue. Perhaps it is your clutch? BTW, I do have a minor back lash noise......

Lupo:

Can you please explain under exactly what conditions this happens??? Is the car already warmed up? Are you taking off from a dead stop and doing a: 1) easy launch, 2) medium launch or 3) a hard launch??

Has your clutch been an issue in the past?, especially before installing the new gears??

I have not had this problem and I have been running the Dinan 3.45 diff for quite a while now??

It's temperamental... It'll happen when I downshift, or up shift. Sometimes it's as smooth as butter, other times it just bucks before I put down the pedal. It's sort of like going into first before coming to a complete stop... I'll try to set up more detailed explanation for you all.

Thanks for responding guys.

Better take it to your dealer for service, thats not normal. Make sure you write up everything you can remember before you take it in.
